The Sixth Child

Franck is a scrap dealer who lives with Mériem in the outskirts of Paris. They have five children, a sixth on the way, and serious money problems. One night, Franck discreetly leaves his caravan to go and help a colleague to steal cables, which they will then sell to a junkyard. But the sale turns into an altercation with the buyer, forcing them to flee in their van. Causing an accident, Franck finds himself in court, where his young lawyer, Julien, obtains him a reprieve. Following the hearing, Julien and his wife, Anna, a real estate lawyer, make a detour to drop them off, and agree to stop for a moment for a drink of thanks. But during the discussion, it comes out that while Franck and Mériem have five children and cannot afford a sixth, Julien and Anna can’t have kids. They decide to make an unthinkable arrangement.
