Criminal lawyer Canan divides her time between the courthouse during the day and her mother's hospital bed at night. On the day of an important sentencing hearing for a murder suspect whom Canan is defending, she has to make a moral choice that will affect the lives of her mother, the judge, and the defendant.
Selman Nacar
Selman Nacar is a filmmaker with an MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University in New York City. He presented lectures on fictional filmmaking at the same university. He is an alumnus of the Berlinale Talents 2019 and the First Films First 2020. His debut feature Between ‘Two Dawns’ premiered at the 69th San Sebastian Film Festival and received many awards, including the Best Film Award at the 39th Torino Film Festival and Jury’s Special Award, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Cahide Sonku awards at the 58th Antalya Film Festival. His second film, ‘Hesitation Wound,’ premiered at the 80th Venice Film Festival.
