The Cooperation Between Antalya Film Forum and Netflix Continues to Grow

The 10th Antalya Film Forum, which will occur physically between October 8-10 and online between October 10-12 as part of the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival hosted by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, will continue collaborating with Netflix this year. In addition to the main prize for the Series/Short Series Pitching Platform, this year, Netflix will also award TL 150 thousand to a project to be selected in the Forum's Features Work-in-Progress Platform. The Series/Short Series Pitching Platform applications open today (July 19).

Mayor of Antalya and Festival President Muhittin Böcek stated, "Last year, we broke new ground in Turkey with Antalya Film Forum, our festival's co-production market and project development platform, and became the first festival in Turkey to collaborate with Netflix. We are delighted to continue this collaboration, now even stronger, this year and to take steps together to enrich the TV series industry."

With the increasing role and importance of TV series in the industry, Antalya Film Forum launched the Series/Short Series Pitching Platform to support original and creative content and to bring new names to the industry. Like last year, Netflix will give out the main award at this year's forum. The main prize includes cash support of TL 150 thousand to be given with the Grow Creative support of Netflix, which aims to expand and develop the talent pool in the series and film industry, as well as the Netflix Series-Lab Program Participation Award, which seeks to support creators who want to build their career in the field of series writing with hands-on training during the content development phase. In the Netflix Series-Lab Program, which will be held for the second time this year, screenwriters and creative teams will be mentored by international TV and film industry professionals to improve their series project production skills. The platform is open to producers and directors from Turkey with projects in the development stage. Netflix will have the right to a first look at the award-winning project.

This year, Netflix's support for Antalya Film Forum will not be limited to the Series/Short Series Pitching Platform. Netflix will also give a special award worth TL 150 thousand to a project to be selected in the Features Work-in-Progress Platform, which includes projects that have reached the end of filming or are in post-production.
