Antalya Film Forum Enhances Support For The Film Industry
Antalya Film Forum, the co-production market and project development platform for the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival hosted by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, will take place physically from October 8 to 10 and online from October 10 to12 this year. Antalya Film Forum's awards for Pitching for Feature Films in Development, Features Work-in-Progress, Documentaries Work-in-Progress, Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund Pitching, and the Series/Short Series Pitching platforms have been announced. The main jury will award chosen projects with these accolades.
Projects selected by the preliminary juries at the Antalya Film Forum, where applications for all categories have recently ended, will be announced in the upcoming days. During the Antalya Film Forum, the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality will provide awards totaling TL 550 thousand across four categories. On the other hand, Netflix will award a total of TL 300 thousand in the Series/Short Series Pitching Platform and the Features Work-in-Progress Platform. Additionally, prominent figures and organizations within the industry will present special awards on each respective platform.
In the Pitching for Feature Films in Development Platform, each of the two projects selected by the main jury will receive an award of TL 50 thousand. Furthermore, one project will be granted the Film Standartları Post Production Award, and another project will receive Filmarka Equipment Support.
One project will be awarded TL 100 thousand in the Features Work-in-Progress Platform. One project chosen by the main jury will win the Jury Special Award valued at TL 50 thousand. This year, Netflix will also present the Netflix Features Work-in- Progress Platform Award worth TL 150 thousand for the first time. This category will also feature the Başka Sinema Distribution and Promotion Award and the Bando Post Color Grading Award.
The main jury will grant TL 100 thousand to one of the projects in the Documentaries Work-in-Progress Platform. Additionally, the GeniusPark Color Grading Award and Başka Sinema Distribution Award will be bestowed, along with the Documentary Association of Europe (DAE) Incentive Award.
Netflix will once again oversee the main prize of the Series/Short Series Pitching Platform this year. The TL 150 thousand main prize will be presented through the Grow Creative program, Netflix's initiative to expand and enhance the talent pool in the TV series and film industry. Furthermore, one project will receive the Netflix Series-Lab Program Participation Award, which supports creators looking to develop their careers in series writing through hands-on training during content development. Another project on the platform will secure the Color Up Color Grading Award.
The Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund Pitching Platform will bestow prizes worth TL 200 thousand this year. Fono Film will also award the chosen film the Fono Film Post Production Award.
The 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is chaired by the Mayor of Antalya, Muhittin Böcek, and executive directed by Cansel Tuncer, while Ahmet Boyacıoğlu takes on the role of Festival director and Başak Emre of artistic director. The Antalya Film Forum is co-directed by Armağan Lale and Pınar Evrenosoğlu.
