Cinema students meet the masters of cinema!

This year, the Golden Orange starts an exciting process for film students. Cinema schools are competing.

The Cinema Schools Student Film Competition is being organized within the scope of the festival in order to make student films shot in cinema schools visible, to evaluate the works of students who are passionate about cinema and to encourage them.

Among the films that will apply to represent their schools, the finalists will participate in the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, which will take place on October 5-12, 2024, and meet with guests and cinema professionals. During the festival days, students will continue their education in the kitchen of cinema by breathing the same air with directors, producers, screenwriters, actors and other components of cinema.

The deadline for the Cinema Schools Student Film Competition is Friday, September 20, 2024 at 18:00.

Cinema Schools Student Film Competition at Golden Orange

This competitive section, which is taking place for the first time at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, differs from the traditional National Short Film Competition in that the films of the film schools, which were shot within the framework of their own curricula, participate in the competition and compete in their programs and styles. Another important aspect is that the students of these schools are given the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with film professionals. Thus, while the film industry will discover the students, the students will be able to form predictions about the methods they will encounter in the art branch they will work in the future.

In the evaluation of the competition, which we aim to give the competition an international identity, in addition to the beginning and end development, fluency and similar narrative styles and technical quality of the participating films, the features such as creativity and originality, which are the greatest needs of every country's cinema, but especially of Turkish Cinema, will be prioritized.

I wish success to all students participating in the competition.
