Turkey’s longest-running film festival, the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, will take place from October 24–31, 2026. The National Documentary Film Competition features 10 films. All films in the selection will have their Turkish premieres, and a total of 9 films will have their world premieres in Antalya. The films in the selection will compete in the “Best Documentary Film” and “Documentary Film Special Jury Prize” categories.
The main jury members for the National Documentary Film Competition at the festival are Sabire Soytok, Selçuk Metin, and Aslı Akdağ.
Films in the Documentary Film Category at the Golden Orange Festival Have Been Announced
The films competing in the National Documentary Film category—whose preliminary selection committee consists of Associate Professor Zehra Yiğit, screenwriter, director, and author Turgut Yasalar, and documentary and animated film director and Associate Professor Sevcan Sönmez—have been announced.
In the National Documentary Film Competition, “There Is No Place Called Allianoi,” directed and produced by Elif Nur Kayalar and set to have its world premiere in Antalya, ,’ directed and produced by Elif Nur Kayalar and set to have its world premiere in Antalya; ‘Journey to the White Continent,’ directed and produced by Tayfun Belet and set to have its world premiere in Antalya; ‘Starfish: A Story of Courage,’ directed and produced by Kenan Özer and set to have its world premiere in Antalya; ‘My Camera Weighs 45 Kilos,’ directed by Kenan Özer and set to have its world premiere in Antalya; ‘Ash and Salt,’ directed by Çağatay Yurt and produced by Tunç Akkoç, set to have its world premiere in Antalya; ‘Modernist: Usmanbaş,’ directed by Serdar Kökçeoğlu and produced by Elif Dizdaroğlu and Serdar Kökçeoğlu, which will have its world premiere in Antalya; ‘Mükellef,’ directed by Arda Sarıgün and produced by Arda Sarıgün and Mehmet Erkmen, which will have its world premiere in Antalya; ‘Mükellef’; ‘Prima Ballerina Meriç,’ directed and produced by Deniz Gürgen Atalay, which will have its world premiere in Antalya; and ‘Uzakta,’ directed by M. Tayfur Aydın and produced by M. Tayfur Aydın and Şükrü Acar, which had its world premiere in the International Competition (Doc@PÖFF) section and will meet audiences in Turkey for the first time in Antalya, and “Zor Zanaat,” directed by Levent Çetin and produced by Levent Çetin and Deniz İnceoğlu, which will also have its world premiere in Antalya.
