Turkey’s longest-running film festival, the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, will take place from October 24–31, 2026. The National Short Film Competition features 10 films, which will compete in the “Best Short Film” and “Short Film Special Jury Prize” categories. All films in the selection will have their Turkish premieres, and a total of 7 films will have their world premieres in Antalya.
The main jury members for the National Short Film Competition at the festival are “Hakkı Kurtuluş, Melike Kasaplar, and Belkıs Bayrak.”
Films in the National Short Film Competition at the Golden Orange Festival Have Been Announced
The films competing in the National Short Film category—whose preliminary selection committee consists of Associate Professor Zehra Yiğit, screenwriter, director, and author Turgut Yasalar, and documentary and animated film director and Associate Professor Sevcan Sönmez—have been announced.
At the National Short Film Competition, “Problem At The Address”—directed by Murat Ayyıldız, produced by Okan Açmak, Elif Gökçe, and Oğulcan Taşdemir, starring Onur Berk Arslanoğlu and Ahmet Demir, and set to have its world premiere in Antalya— “The Kindergarten,” directed by Melis Balcı and produced by Melisa Balcı and Nazlı Eda Noyan, featuring the voice talents of Metin Akdülger and Melisa Sözen, and set to have its world premiere in Antalya; “Dreaming of a World Without War,” directed by Alpan Esen and Rıfat Şungar, produced by Esra Saydam, Dilara Tigli, Alpan Esen, and Rıfat Şungar, starring Erdem Kılıç and Aysima Ergün, and set to have its world premiere in Antalya; “Dreaming of a Dream,” directed by Samet Karaman and produced by Erdem Kaynarca, Cenk Arda Ekşioğlu, and Ege Akbıyık, starring Demet Akbağ, Bihter Dinçel, Fatih Al, Onur Gürçay, Erdem Kaynarca, İbrahim Şahin, and Alp Özbayram, and set to have its world premiere in Antalya; “The World Is Not As You Know It,” directed by Çağla Karslıoğlu and produced by Zeynep Santiroğlu Sutherland, Scott Aharoni, and Çağla Karslıoğlu, starring Kayra Zabcı, Asmin Ayşe Aslan, and Durukan Çelikkaya, which competed in the Best Short Film category at the 26th Beverly Hills Film Festival, and will have its Turkish premiere in Antalya. “She Has No Name,” directed by Ahmet Duvar and produced by Abdulhamit Güler and İclal Havva Köprücü Duvar, stars Süleyman Kabaali, Gürkan Korkmaz, and Mert Can Sevimli, and set to have its world premiere in Antalya. “Karayazı,” directed by Soner Alan and produced by Merve Balbay Alan and Soner Alan, features a cast including Sumru Yavrucuk, Özgür Emre Yıldırım, and Melissa Dilber, and will have its world premiere in Antalya; “She’s Has No Name” directed and produced by Gülsün Odabaş, starring Semah Tuğsel, İrem Erkaya, Özlem Durmaz, and Nihal Odabaş, and will have its world premiere in Antalya; “Dumpster,” directed by Sis Gürdal and produced by Sinan Yusufoğlu and Laure Dahout, starring Musab Yılmaz, Merdan Karataş, Naz Göktan, and Nur Pera Abuç, which received a Special Mention at the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, and will have its Turkish premiere in Antalya; and “Porkatal,” directed by Serdal Altun and produced by Turgut Kanal, starring Yaşar Karakulak, Mustafa Kırantepe, Ercan Kesal, and Engin Yüksel, which had its world premiere in the Short Film Competition section of the 30th Nuremberg Turkey-Germany Film Festival’s Short Film Competition, where it had its world premiere, and “Supermen Fell To The Steppe,” which will have its Turkish premiere in Antalya.
