Green Sets Are Possible Presents the “Climate-Sensitive Story Award”
The “Climate-Sensitive Story Award,” presented by the Green Sets Are Possible initiative, which aims to raise awareness of climate change and sustainability in the film and television industries, will find its recipient for the first time this year as part of the 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
Rather than addressing the climate crisis solely through catastrophic scenarios, the award aims to highlight films that make the relationship with nature and the environment an integral part of their storytelling.
The winner of the “Climate-Sensitive Story Award,” presented by the Green Sets Are Possible initiative, will receive a cash prize of €2,000.
Supporting Sustainable Film Sets with the Green Production Award
The 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is drawing attention to the importance of sustainable production processes in the film industry with the “Green Production Award,” which will be presented for the first time this year.
Presented by the Green Sets Are Possible initiative, the award aims to reduce the environmental impact of film productions and promote the widespread adoption of sustainable production practices across the industry.
As part of the award, the winning production will receive green production consultancy from the Green Sets Are Possible team. Working together with the production during its next filming process, the team will develop practices aimed at reducing energy consumption and waste, while minimizing the environmental impact of filming.
The production’s estimated carbon footprint will be calculated before the consultancy process. Once filming is completed, the actual carbon footprint will be measured and the results will be reported.
The resulting report will serve as a tangible document demonstrating the production’s sustainability performance and can also be used in applications for international funding and co-production opportunities.
