A total of 423 films were submitted this year for the National Feature Film, National Short Film, and National Documentary Film competitions, which opened for entries on Monday, June 29, 2026. The total number of submissions the previous year was 356.
Strong Interest in the National Competitions at the Golden Orange Film Festival
At the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival—Turkey’s longest-running film festival, set to take place from October 24–31, 2026—58 feature-length films were submitted to the National Feature Film Competition, while a total of 267 entries were received for the National Short Film Competition. This year, a total of 98 films were submitted to the National Documentary Film Competition category. For the Film School Student Film Competition, 70 submissions were received from 70 relevant departments at 48 different universities across Turkey.
At the 62nd Antalya International Golden Orange Film Festival, there were 49 entries for the National Feature Film Competition, 233 for the National Short Film Competition, 74 for the National Documentary Film Competition, and 34 for the Film School Student Film Competition.
The national selections for the 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival will be announced in the coming days.
Applications Are Still Open at Film Forum!
As part of the 63rd Antalya International Golden Orange Film Festival, Film Forum—which brings together young and independent filmmakers—will be held for the 13th time from October 25 to 27. Applications for Film Forum will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026.
