The Golden Orange Film School Opens for Submissions!
The 5th edition of the Golden Orange Film School, a part of the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality from October 7-14, is now accepting applications. The Golden Orange Film School is welcoming undergraduate students studying Radio, Television, Cinema, Media, Communication, and Visual Arts at universities in Türkiye. The event will be held online from October 8-13.
Muhittin Böcek, the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and Festival President, expressed his excitement about the milestone, stating: "The Golden Orange Film School, which we launched in 2019 with the motto 'As young people become more productive, Antalya will flourish,' has now reached its 5th year. We are proud to continue supporting the filmmakers of the future through the Golden Orange Film School, where we have already brought together nearly 1000 students with cinema professionals. Contributing to young people's journeys toward realizing their dreams brings us immense joy, and we will continue to strengthen our support for them in every aspect.”
The Golden Orange Film School application deadline is Friday, September 1, 2023, at 18.00. Students can access the application form on the festival's website; the application link will remain active until the deadline. Of the applications received, 250 students will be selected to attend classes conducted by cinema industry professionals covering various topics from theory to practice. Moreover, the Golden Orange Film School talks, which are open to everyone on the festival's social media platforms, will provide an opportunity for renowned experts to share their experiences and inspire aspiring filmmakers.
The 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is chaired by the Mayor of Antalya, Muhittin Böcek, and executive directed by Cansel Tuncer, while Ahmet Boyacıoğlu takes on the role of Festival director and Başak Emre of artistic director. The Antalya Film Forum is co-directed by Armağan Lale and Pınar Evrenosoğlu.
