ULUSAL BELGESEL FİLM YARIŞMASI | Yönetmen: Aslı Atasoy
The Book’s Dream focuses on the work of graphic artist Birol Bayram, who has designed approximately 6,000 book covers over the past 26 years, and his potential world record. The film approaches the book cover not merely as a superficial graphic element, but as a cultural space where literature and visual memory converge. Bayram's creative journey, spanning from caricature to digital design, from NFT projects to the aesthetic codes of the publishing world, reveals how an artist leaves his mark on time through lines. Enriched by contributions from Zeynep Atakan, Ahmet Ümit, Mehmet Y. Yılmaz, Yekta Kopan, Selçuk Altun, Gürbüz Doğan Ekşioğlu, Horasan, Sevengül Sönmez, Tibet Sanlıman, and Gamze Varım, the documentary invites us to rethink the book cover as both a personal and social space for memory and expression.
