Kerem, a failed film director in his fifties, leaves Istanbul and moves to a ruined windmill on a remote island. He decides to make one final film about his cinematic disappointments. When he cries at a girl’s funeral—someone he doesn’t know—he becomes the target of a lynch attempt. The girl's fiancé Orhan attacks him, escalating tensions.
