On a snowy winter day, The Farmer (Musa), deep in his search for meaning, takes his close friend The Hat Wearer (Süleyman) to a mound beside an old ruin, near the foot of a tree. This is the place where The Farmer seeks answers to the questions haunting his soul where he hears strange whispers and converses with a mysterious owl. But will The Hat Wearer, whose mind is preoccupied with hunting partridges, be able to grasp the enchanted and complex world his friend has fallen into?
